Preventive Maintenance
Inspection, Refilling & Maintenance
A fire suppression system is only effective if it is properly maintained. Preventive maintenance keeps the detection line, nozzles and mechanical release in working condition through scheduled visits, so faults are found on a planned service call rather than during a fire.
What Preventive Maintenance includes
Scope of work
- Scheduled Maintenance Visits
- Detection Line Inspection
- Nozzle Inspection
- Mechanical System Testing
- Performance Verification

How we work
Our Preventive Maintenance process
-
Plan the cycle
Visits are scheduled in advance around your kitchen hours so maintenance never competes with service.
-
Inspect the detection line
Line tension, fusible link condition and routing are checked. Grease-loaded links are the most common cause of a delayed or failed release.
-
Inspect the nozzles
Caps, aim and clearance are checked. Nozzles blocked by grease or knocked out of aim by cleaning are extremely common in a working kitchen.
-
Test the mechanics
The release mechanism, gas valve and shutdown interfaces are mechanically tested as a sequence.
-
Verify and report
Performance is verified and recorded, and you get a report showing condition and any corrective work needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between inspection and preventive maintenance?
Inspection tells you the condition of the system. Preventive maintenance acts on it — testing the mechanics, servicing the detection line and nozzles, and correcting what inspection found.
What most often goes wrong between visits?
Grease. It loads fusible links, blocks nozzles and interferes with the detection line. In a busy kitchen this can build up faster than most operators expect.
Can maintenance be done without closing the kitchen?
In most cases yes. Visits are planned around your service hours, with the intrusive work done outside them.
